Cedar Plank Salmon: Well Done aka More Than An Olympian

There's something that amazes me about cedar plank salmon. But, it's not the fat & succulent piece of flesh sizzling on the grill, it's the cedar plank itself. Interestingly enough, we gather this seasoning and that spice, chop this and/ or that. Then we let it sit, for the more patient, "all night long," allowing the fish to soak in all the flavor. As soon as the sun comes up, we fire up that grill and WOW! The fish is done, we eat it, it's delicious and only the bones are left (stay tuned, that's another lap in the pool all together aka Ezekiel 37: 1-14). But, the fish has served its purpose, the flame grilled it to perfection & it became very WELL DONE. Our taste buds can testify. But, take a closer look at the table. Not only are the bones left, but the PLANK (the MAIN ingredient/flavor & sermon in itself) UPON which the fish was COOKED withstood the flame. Why? Because it was first SUBMERGED IN THE WATER! If you should find yourself steeped in the fiery flames of life, just make like a fish on a cedar plank. Stay afloat!!!!!!! Never give up aka WELL DONE! JESUS IS OUR LIFE RAFT! (Ref. ALL of ACTS 27 & RUN. . .). Singing. . . "I once was sinking far from the peaceful shore. Deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more. BUT, the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry and from the waters lifted me, now safe am I. It was LOVE that lifted me!!!"

Stay in the race, overcome the hurdles and keep passing the baton. We are following Victory and His name is JESUS!
