FROM EFFECT TO AFFECT ON THE RACE TRACK: KEEP RUNNING

Ricky Bobby, in the movie/ ficticious comedy TALLADEGA NIGHTS, had a very major & catastrophic crash on the race track. It was so traumatic, that although he made it out perfectly safe from the wreckage, he ran around for nearly an hour afterwards thinking that he was on fire. He even ripped off all his clothes and ended up rolling around on the ground yelling and screaming to the top of his lungs just THINKING that he was burning to death yet, there were no flames.

I can't help but laugh at the movie, but seriously so, there are some events so catastrophic and so traumatic in our lives that, unlike the movie, are NO laughing matter. However, similar to the movie, such events cause very traumatizing and lasting AFFECTS. In the movie, Ricky Bobby's imaginations went running wild to the point where he, being in perfect physical health, believed that he lost his ability to walk and had to be placed in a mental institution.  His mind was so affected by the tragedy he suffered on the race track. BUTTT, glory be to God that

"our weapons of warfare are not carnal, but MIGHTY in God for the pulling down of strongholds and CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS and every high thing that exalteth itself against the KNOWLEGE OF GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (ref. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, emphasis mine)."

There may be some things in your life that have caused such catastrophic AFFECTS, but I thank God for His LIVING Word which overules it all and gives us the everlasting EFFECT which flows from His own heart, His love and even eternity with Him.

Prayer:

Lord, heal, deliver and set us free from mental trauma. In Your name Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Stay in the race, overcome the hurdles and keep passing the baton. We are following VICTORY and His name is JESUS \oO/

". . .The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much." James 5:16
